Temple Sinai Preschool Temple Sinai Preschool offers a nurturing environment that supports the social, emotional, physical, cognitive and creative development of each child. We follow an emergent, developmentally appropriate curriculum, as set forth by the National Association for the Education of the Young Child, which involves child-initiated, child directed, and teacher supported play.
Our classrooms are filled with art, blocks, dramatic play, music, reading, manipulatives, science, and special project areas.
Our Jewish traditions, values, rituals, and curriculum are interwoven into the classrooms daily, and by the weekly involvement of our Rabbis and Cantor.
Our goal is to enrich each child and their family, and nuture their involvement within the Preschool community, as well as within the larger Temple Sinai community.
Berkeley Parents Network posting about our preschool: “Temple Sinai Preschool is phenomenal – in so many ways! The teachers are amazing; I have personally learned a lot from them! The director is so devoted and makes it a priority to get to know each and every child. I can’t think of a more nurturing place, but also a place where a kid gets to be a kid. They have wonderful enrichment activities, regular visits from the Rabbis and the cantor. My child wakes up every weekend asking if he can go to preschool that morning”.
We have some rare openings in our program for the upcoming 2009-2010 school year. For more information or to schedule a tour, please contact Preschool Director, Ellen Lefkowitz at (510) 451-3263.
