Capital Campaign The Im Tirtzu project to expand and modernize our congregational campus is critical to ensuring that Temple Sinai remains a vibrant and vital force for Jewish life in the East Bay. This project will ensure that we can continue to maintain the outstanding services, programs, and activities you have come to expect for your family and others in our community.
Your gift will make the difference!
Our goal is to achieve 100% participation, and your support is crucial to raising the funds needed to develop the project. Your gift is also a special opportunity to honor Rabbi Chester for his hard work and his commitment to our community. In fact, the final $3 million is being raised so that we may name the new Education Wing after Rabbi Chester. Every contributor will be listed on a plaque in the new building and every gift will make a difference in helping to turn our collective vision for an ideal temple home into a reality.
Making a pledge is easy—just complete and return the enclosed pledge form.
You may make a one-time contribution or pledge an amount over five years. As we’d like to finalize this part of the campaign by the end of the year, your action now would be greatly appreciated.

This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to invest in the future of our Temple, and to give to future generations what others have given to us – a strong and dynamic congregation that is housed in buildings and spaces that serve the educational, social, and spiritual needs of our current and future members. If you have questions, you may call Campaign Co-chairs Esther Saidman (865-2864) or Barbara Morrison (547-2656) and we would be happy to talk with you about the project.
In advance, many thanks for your support of this incredible project.
Sincerely, Esther Saidman and Barbara Morrison
