The Adult Choir is made up of 25-35 men and women who love Jewish music and love to sing and schmooze. Joining the choir is a great way to get involved in Temple life and meet new people. You do not need to be a "professional singer" in order to join and there are no auditions. However, you do have to love to sing and learn new music. Although the ability to read music is helpful, it is not required.
Regular Weekly Rehearsals at Temple Sinai in the Sanctuary on Tuesday nights from 7:00pm – 8:30pm after the High Holy Days through the middle of May, except during vacations.

Rehearsals are led by the Choir Director/Organist George Anton Emblom and Cantor Ilene Keys.
The Temple Sinai Junior Choir is going into its 15th year and is made up of children in 3rd-7th grade who love to sing and meet new friends. The Junior Choir is open to any student who loves Jewish music and loves to sing. There are no auditions; however, a firm commitment to the choir is encouraged. As a member of the Junior Choir, students will learn the Shabbat liturgy in an informal setting through music and prayer. Participating in the Junior Choir is a great way to prepare for Bar/Bat Mitzvah and get experience leading the service and singing from the bima. Attire for all Junior Choir members performing at services is white tops and dark skirts or trousers.
If you would like more information on the Junior Choir, contact Cantor Keys at the Temple Office (510) 451-3263.
