Family Shabbatot are kid-friendly, musically-oriented, and encourage children's participation. All are welcome and these services are especially popular with families with children between the ages of 5-13 years of age.
Family Shabbatot have a shorter service and the sermon is replaced by a story. Birthday blessings are offered for anyone celebrating a birthday that month.
Students in the Grades 4 through 7 help lead a Family Shabbat service once a year. Services take place at the Temple Sinai Sanctuary.
Family Shabbatot are a great way to connect with Shabbat and with families with young children.
This year our family services will be on a slightly different schedule. It will still feature our religious school classes and our junior choir leading from the bima in the sanctuary. The family services will take place at 6:30pm on the following dates and each one will feature a Shabbat dinner in stern hall preceding the service at 5:30pm. Please join us!!
