Total Beginners Hebrew Class — Introduction to Basic Decoding (Class H, Part 2). 
Tuesdays weekly, 6:30pm. Starting January 14.  
Students learn the alphabet and vowels, blending, and introductory vocabulary and features of the Hebrew language. A great deal of class time is spent practicing  decoding and developing confidence with word attack skills. Basic blessings.

Modern Conversational Hebrew (Class F)
Tuesdays weekly, 5:00pm. Class is ongoing. New trimester begins. February 4, 2025. 
New students welcome and may join anytime. Registration will be prorated. 

Students should be able to read simple Hebrew text/stories for meaning. Conversation focuses on stories, students' daily lives, families, and a bit of news. Includes practical grammar.

Hebrew Through Prayer (Class J)
Starts Wednesday, February 19 and ends May 21
This new Hebrew class will meet on Wednesdays from 5:00 – 6:00pm 

This class is for people who can already decode Hebrew but may not know much vocabulary or grammar. By student request, we will explore the Reform prayer book, translating the Hebrew prayers and then comparing these literal translations to the given (more literary) English translations. Open to students who can read the Hebrew aloud and want to increase their understanding of the Hebrew through some grammar, vocabulary building, and personal reflection,  thus deepening their appreciation of the prayer service. This class is 1-hour long and will run for 13 weeks.

• PLEASE NOTE: Classes H and J meet by Zoom for 11 sessions of 1.25 hours. Class J will meet by Zoom for 13 sessions of 1 hour.
