Caring Community

The Temple Sinai Caring Community/Kehilat Chesed coordinates a variety of activities in the congregation so that we are able to help each other. We provide support, celebrate simchas, and reach out to each other in times of crisis and need. Your involvement makes our Temple the special community that it is. Kehilat Chesed/Caring Committee makes a difference in people's lives by assisting with the activities like the following:

Coordinating meals for families dealing with:

  • a new baby
  • a family member recovering from surgery
  • a short-term illness

Check-in phone calls to seniors and the house-bound

Rides for those who need them to:

  • Temple services and other events
  • Doctor's appointments
  • Grocery shopping, trips to the pharmacy, and other errands

Support around a birth or death in the family

  • Phone calls to check in and follow up
  • Sending cards of mazel tov or condolence
  • Providing a food tray for a brit milah or shiva minyan
