Saturday, December 24, 12:00pm, Hall outside Albers Chapel
What is Shakshuka Day*? Shakshuka Day celebrates the perfect comfort food for the darkest, coldest time of the year. That is why it is typically observed on the Shabbat closest to the Winter solstice. This year it also falls on the sixth day of Hanukkah AND the annual Winter blood drive**.
You are invited to join the Temple Sinai community for Shabbat services on Saturday, December 24 and, after services, for a kiddush lunch that will include this beloved Middle Eastern dish of eggs poached in a rich, flavorful sauce.
Please sign-up using this link if you would like to contribute shakshuka or something else to the kiddush lunch.
If you have questions, please email or text leiberlaurie@gmail.com or 510.435.3995.
Todah and Hanukkah sameach!

*Don't let them tell you Shakshuka Day is a “made-up” holiday! If you think about it ALL holidays are made up.
