MLK Jr. Regional Shoreline (Arrowhead Marsh)
View and learn about our local marsh and shoreline birds! On this gentle walk, Golden Gate Bird Alliance instructor Maureen Lahiff and WTS member Ilana DeBare will introduce you to common but beautiful birds including egrets, ducks, grebes, sandpipers, avocets, and maybe even an endangered Ridgway's Rail.
Beginners are welcome; no experience is needed. We'll do our birdwatching along the wheelchair-accessible paved paths of MLK Jr. Regional Shoreline, near the Oakland Airport. If you own binoculars, please bring them. If you need to borrow a pair, please indicate that as you register.
For non-members, please make your check for $10 out to Women of Temple Sinai and send to Sydney Firestone Schimmel at 5834 McAndrew Drive, Oakland, CA 94611. Wheelchair accessible; Parking lot available (small).
