Temple Brotherhood Seeking New Ideas and Fresh Approaches

Temple members interested in becoming more engaged and involved in the Temple community have an excellent opportunity to do just that.

Brotherhood members (and nonmembers) will be exploring ideas for rejuvenating the Brotherhood at a meeting to be held in Temple Sinai’s Classroom 312 at 7:00pm on Wednesday, May 10.

Temple members are encouraged to attend and contribute ideas for turning the Brotherhood into a more active and vigorous aspect of Temple life.

The Brotherhood has a long history of supporting the Temple and its activities while helping to build community through social interaction and good times. Our support of the Temple comes through financial as well as volunteer contributions.

The Brotherhood’s financial support helps send children to Camp Newman and on trips to Israel, helps provide scholarships and emergency supplies for preschool and religious school children, kiddush cups for B’nei Mitzvot students, and food for the Purim carnival and religious school picnics.

We also help fund many other worthy causes, such as: Israel education, the recent program on antisemitism (“Repairing the World”), Disability Awareness Month, the adjustable bima for Albers Chapel, the welcome sign monitors in the Temple lobbies, High Holy Day prayer books, Ukrainian refugee relief, food bank contributions, and many other essential items.

We look forward to your new ideas, input and energy for reinvigorating our support for the community.

See you on May 10!
