Wise Aging: End of Life Choices Part II: The Patient and Family Perspective
Sunday, July 10, 2022 • 11 Tammuz 5782
1:00 PM - 2:30 PMZoomThis second Wise Aging session on medical aid in dying will focus on the patient and family experience. A panel of family members and our own Rabbi Mates-Muchin will share their experience with supporting loved ones and a congregant who qualified for the end of life option under California law. The panelists will share how terminal illness impacted the lives of the individuals, why this option was important to them, and the experience of accompanying them as they died. There will be time for audience questions and to reflect on honoring our own and loved ones wishes at the end of life. The session will be facilitated by Ann Gordon and Stewart Florsheim. Panelists will include Rabbi Mates-Muchin, Julie Stroud, daughter of Barry Stroud, and others.
