7:00 PM - 8:30 PMAlbers ChapelPlease join us for the 23rd (or so) annual
Temple Sinai Poets of Tin Pan Alley Sing-Along Concert & Fundraiser
In the first decades of the 20th century, Tin Pan Alley composers and lyricists (many if not most of whom were Jewish) wrote thousands of songs about the sundry ethnic groups that made up our melting pot.
The Jews wrote about the Italians; the Italians wrote about the Irish; the Irish wrote about Native Americans; and they all wrote about themselves.
These songs were written by the same people who wrote songs that became part of the "Great American Song Book."
Come hear some of these songs and sing along. We'll project the words for all to see and we have a great accompanist. Great pastries to follow.
Event Fee: The event fee is a donation of whatever amount the attendee wishes. Recommended amount is $1,000, but we will take less.
