Tuesday, April 12, 2022 • 11 Nisan 5782
6:00 PM - 7:30 PMStern HallPassover in the Midst of a Modern Exodus
A Unity Seder Gathering to Reflect on Ukraine and Other Refugee Crises
To join this gathering live via Zoom, register here.
Sponsored by Temple Sinai and the Bay Area Urban League
The Passover Seder retells the story of the exodus of the Jewish people from bondage in Egypt. Today there is an exodus of people from Ukraine and other trouble spots. Aggression, repression and displacement are rampant. We are all horrified.
How do the elements of the Seder speak to us about today’s exodus? How do the four questions in a traditional Seder, speak to the questions in our minds today? The Passover story ends on a positive note. Are there any positives to come or happening now?
In these troubled times, this will be an opportunity to gather in unity to share our questions, concerns, and hopes.
A light meal will be served. There is no charge.
