Please join us for a wonderful day of activities, free of charge, on Jewish Wellness and Spirituality. Spend a day nourishing your mind, body, and spirit with Temple Sinai clergy and leaders!
AGENDA
9:00 – 10:00am: Torah Study: Awaken your mindfulness as we delve into a discussion on Torah. The session will be led by Rabbi Mates-Muchin and Rabbi Bressler (Stern Hall)
10:00 – 10:30am: Coffee and Nosh social: Come meet other congregants and community members who share an interest in Jewish Wellness. (Stern Hall)
10:30 – 11:45am: Shabbat Morning Service: Music in Motion: All are welcome to explore the liturgy of the Shabbat Morning service in an exciting new way. Cantor Keys and Robin Spiegelman will use Jewish chant and yoga to connect our bodies, minds, and souls through music and motion. (Chapel)
Please bring a mat if you are comfortable getting up and down from the floor. Movement will be adapted for those who prefer to remain seated in a chair.
12:00 – 12:30pm: The Art of Mindful Eating: Jon Braslaw will teach us about the Jewish perspective on expressing gratitude for the food that we bring to our tables and put into our bodies. (Stern Hall)
12:30 – 1:30pm: Buffet Lunch (no fee): Enjoy a lunch catered by La Mediteranee no fee (Stern Hall)
1:30 – 2:15pm
Embodied Prayer Daily Miracles: Laurie Leiber will leading a series of exercises linked to the Blessings of Daily Miracles. The movements are a moderate workout for the core, a gentle mobilization of the spine and extremities, and a meditation on the gift of life and health. (Chapel)

Introduction to Mussar with Rabbi Mates-Muchin. Learn about the spiritual practice that helps us in leading meaningful and ethical lives. (Stern Hall)
2:30 – 3:15pm
Wise Aging Presentation: The holiday of Sukkot, which is centered around the fragile sukkah, is an appropriate time to think about aging. Dan Fendel will lead us in an exploration of what is fragile in our lives, what is solid, and how these characteristics have evolved for us as we age. (Stern Hall)

Sukkot Meditation: Steve Goldstein will lead a Guided Meditation session on the theme of bringing joy into the Sukkah and bringing joy into your lives. (Sukkah in the Sacred Garden)
3:30 – 4:00pm: Closing Ritual: Join Rabbi Mates-Muchin, Rabbi Bressler and Cantor Keys as we end the day with singing, reflection, and evaluation. (Sukkah in the Sacred Garden)
