Reproductive Justice is a Jewish Value: Sharing Our Stories and Gearing Up for the Continued Fight of Our Lives

In the fifteen months since the fall of Roe, access to reproductive care, particularly abortion care, has become increasingly restricted in our country. Our Jewish tradition proudly teaches that access to reproductive health care is a Jewish value. We must continue to raise our voices and talk about this important topic. Our Yom Kippur afternoon study session will inspire us to get involved and get talking! We will look at Jewish texts that discuss why Judaism inspires us to care deeply about ensuring access to reproductive health care as well as share our own personal connections to this topic through story sharing and listening. We encourage folks of all gender identities and ages to attend the forum because this is a multi-generational effort that needs all of us moving forward. We especially hope that individuals involved in the efforts to pass Roe in the 60s/70s and young people who have always lived in a world with abortion access until now will join us to share their stories.
