2:00pm – Social Action: An Update with our Partner Organizations with Sinai Social Action Committee

Our workshop will feature speakers from two local organizations that Temple Sinai partners with. Both help teens and young adults navigate a pathway to overcome challenging life circumstances. 

Youth ALIVE! helps to break the cycle of violence by diffusing potentially violent situations, and by working with victims of violence and their families to help them move forward without seeking retaliation. They also train high school students to help middle schoolers find nonviolent ways to interact.

Youth Spirit Artworks works with low-income and homeless youth ages 16-25, providing art jobs, training and mentoring. They recently completed a tiny house village consisting of 26 8'x10' homes plus common space.
