Tuesday Morning Minyan
Tuesday Morning Minyan
Tuesdays, 7:30am, Albers Chapel
Every Tuesday morning, at 7:30 in the Albers Chapel, a group of Temple members gather to daven (pray) the Shacharit (morning) service together. We begin with a brief (10-minute) drash (teaching), either on the weekly Torah portion or on some other topic of Jewish interest, and then continue through the traditional prayers. The drash is provided by a minyan participant.
This minyan (a group gathered to pray, traditionally at least 10 adults) can serve to enhance your daily spiritual life, broaden your participation beyond Shabbat services, increase your social circle at the synagogue, provide a safe, holy moment at the beginning of your day, or create a loving atmosphere in which to say the Kaddish (memorial prayer).
We finish our prayers at about 8:00am, and then adjourn to Posh Bagel (4037 Piedmont Avenue) for nosh, discussion, and fellowship.
The Tuesday Morning Minyan has been ongoing since 1998.
